Informal Discussions and Group Discussion

Informal Discussions and Group Discussion

Informal communication refers to the form of communication which flows in every direction, i.e. it moves freely in the organization.

Informal speech or behaviour is relaxed and friendly rather than serious, very correct, or official.

An Informal Discussion is meant to be informal. With no set rules or format, an Informal Discussion is intended to be a free-flowing and frank sharing of information between the decision-maker and the person eliminated from consideration. An Informal Discussion is similar to post-board feedback

How to carry out an Informal Meeting

For the Disciplinary Procedures

The below checklist is for guidance purposes only, as it is recognised that the manager will need to determine how best to manage such a meeting based on the individual circumstances of the case.

Please ensure that all discussions during this process are fair, appropriate and above reproach.

  • Gather all the facts before inviting the employee to discuss specific concerns.
  • Identify specific examples to draw upon within the meeting e.g. details of conduct or performance issues.
  • Choose a private location and provide adequate time to discuss/explore the issues.
  • Notify employee of informal meeting, via face to face communications, or phone/email.
  • Briefly identify what you wish to discuss at the meeting.
  • Hold an informal meeting, advising that this an informal meeting aimed at supporting the individual in addressing specific concerns and/or reaching and maintaining necessary standards/expectations.
  • Constructively explain concerns/issues (i.e. shortfall), provide factual examples and allow the employee the opportunity to provide any explanations (which should be subsequently followed up and checked, where appropriate).
  • Outline the impact these concerns are having on the department/area of work.
  • Ensure that some positive feedback is provided, where possible.
  • Together explore any potential causes and any special circumstances. The employee’s views/perception of all matters involved should be taken fully into account, and any additional or alternative evidence considered.
  • Acknowledge any factors beyond the employee’s control.
  • Explain any required standards or expectations which are not being met.
  • Explore possible reasons/specific problems/underlying issues preventing improvement.
  • Explore how issues can be addressed. Consider any suggestions the employee may offer to address the concerns.
  • Clearly explain relevant expectations and the need for sustained improvement.
  • Together discuss and agree any follow up action/targets/SMART objectives and responsibilities for attaining a sustained improvement and the proposed timescales, including period of monitoring/review, (as appropriate). See Top Tips: Setting and agreeing objectives and standards for existing employees.
  • Generate an Improvement Support Plan (ISP)/consider any reasonable adjustments (as appropriate). See ISP Template.
  • Consider any possible needs for further development (i.e. training) if relevant.
  • Consider any need for external support (Workplace Health & Wellbeing etc).
  • Explain that insufficient sustained improvement, within the time-scales defined, may lead to more formal action.
  • Outline formal stage if improvement is not reached/situation not remedied. (Refer to relevant procedure).
  • Advise that the key points of discussion including any relevant expected improvements/review timetable will be noted and sent to the employee for information.
  • Seek advice from HR, if necessary.
  • Check if the individual wishes to add anything or has any questions to ask.
  • End on an optimistic but realistic note.

Where no case to answer, the employee should be advised of this and the discussion closed with no review required.

Where agreement cannot be reached, manager to consult with Human Resources for advice.

  • Record summary of the discussions, and share with staff member e.g. any agreed actions and timescales for improvement etc., ensuring that the records are factual and constructive. (This may be held in various formats e.g. via a letter, form, email etc.) See Informal Meeting Record Template
  • Store records securely, as these may be subsequently required within later procedural stages and shared with all relevant parties, including the employee, if not done so originally.
  • Arrange a follow up meeting to review the situation.
  • If appropriate, depending on the issue, regularly monitor and provide feedback on an on-going basis/not only at any potential subsequent review meeting.
  • Identify whether there is anything else you can reasonably do to help.
  • Address any new issues as they arise.
  • Agree further objectives/set next review meeting, if appropriate.
  • If process is failing to improve performance consult with your HR representative to discuss more formal action.

C. Group Discussion

So, a group discussion refers to a communicative situation that allows its participants to share their views and opinions with other participants. It is a systematic exchange of information, views and opinions about a topic, problem, issue or situation among the members of a group who share some common objectives

How to prepare for group discussion?

Introduction:

A group discussion (GD) is a group of individuals, gather at one place in the form of a circle with similar interest to share the ideas, solve problems or give comments. In simple terms, a group discussion is well known as GD. Generally, the group discussions are performed to assess the skill set of a person which includes communication skills, leadership skills, managing skills, team building skills, social skills, problem-solving skills and presence of mind. At last, the rating is given on a scale of 1 to 10.

Why GD became mandatory?

Before GD the candidate has to undergo the written exam which covers different subject levels such as quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, general English and computer-based questions. Based on the cut-off, after qualifying the first round the candidate has to undergo the second round i.e group discussion. Group discussion became mandatory to filter the candidate’s soft skills and whether the candidate has the ability to cope up with different scenarios.

Who conducts a group discussion?

Generally, group discussion is conducted by large bodies such as universities, top-rated b-schools, management institutions & colleges and even by MNC’s. To get admission in top B-schools GD round is one of the most important & crucial rounds. This round is conducted to analyze the skills from different parameters and to select the right candidate for the right position so that it meets the company’s requirement.

Why do students fail to perform well in GD?

In today’s scenario most of the students fail to perform well in a group discussion because of the below three

reasons:
1. Due to the fear of speaking in public.
2. Lack of knowledge on the topic.
3. No proper command on language.

The process followed in GD:

In any B-schools or MNC’s, the selectors will select the students randomly based on the number. For a group usually, 8-10 members were selected. A topic is given and around 3-5 minutes of time is given to prepare. The duration of the discussion is based on the group, topic, college to college and organization to organization. Only on a few parameters, the assessment is done. The parameters such as content, supporting others point, giving relevant examples, latest updates or news, eye-contact, conclusion and behavioral traits.

There is no secret or any rules for preparing GD. Before going for GD one has to consider a few points.
1. Be up-to-date on the latest information such as news and trending topics in the market.
2. Make a habit of reading newspapers, books and magazines so that in-detail information is provided.
3. The simple way to remember the content for a longer period is to watch videos for 2-3 times.
4. Later on, select a topic and speak for yourself in front of the mirror. (Make assessment for yourself).
5. Even be aware of different topics such as sports, political news, technology news, economics and market-related news.

How to perform GD?

When a topic is given just think over it; under which category the topic is. It might be related to life, current affairs, technology, political news and any other trending topic in the market. So, think about the topic and frame the sentence in your own words to speak. When you are speaking you need to agree or disagree with the other points and you need to give a proper reason to it. But, don’t deviate/ mislead from the topic. Make others also speak & give chance to them to put the points into the discussion.

For suppose if you are leading the group:
1. Introduce yourself & give a brief note on the topic.
2. Make a start on a positive note.
3. Discuss the pros and cons of the topic and how to overcome them.
4. Make everyone speak.
5. Support other points.
6. If the group members are deviating from the topic it is your responsibility to bring them back.
As you are leading the group you need to conclude by summarizing all the points which were discussed.

Few tips for GD:

1. Grooming (appearance)
2. Be a good listener & support or add to the other points. (But don’t interrupt in middle)
3. Speak loudly and clearly.
4. Try to be the first and the last speaker of the discussion.
5. Be confident while speaking (analyze with numbers if you know & it has to be fact).

If you follow this procedure then definitely you will be selected for GD and now you are eligible for the next round.

Group discussion is conducted by Institutes to test your oratory skills, interpersonal skills & leadership skills. Group Discussion is commonly called as GD is almost a must post entrance exams and you have to face a topic in a group of eight to ten. You have to speak at your turn with gusto but ensuring to remain focused on the assigned topic. As the name has clarity that Group discussion is a discussion and not a debate hence, it is the  point to be noted that all participants must ensure that discussion must take place with all time restraint on shouting or raising voice. It is with group discussion GD panel judges your overall personalty.

Skills required for Group Discussion

The skills that are usually assessed in a Group Discussion are:

1.      Communication Skills

2.      Interpersonal Skills

3.      Leadership Skills

4.      Motivational Skills

5.      Team Building Skills

6.      Tolerance

7.      Clarity over Ambiguity(doubtfulness or uncertainty of meaning)

8.      Listening skills

9.      Presentation Skills

10.   Analytical / Logical skills

Digital India is a campaign launched by Government of India on 1st July 2015.

These campaigns improve online infrastructure and by increasing internet connectivity or by making the country digitally empowered in the field of technology.

Well, I agree digitization plays important role in today's day to day life now, we can order a meal, book cab, buy groceries send gifts and money etc.

The government launched a scheme such as.
1) Make in India.
2) Startup India.
3) UDAAN-RCS.

Implementation of this process, first of all, we are educated and improve our education system or use digital technology and make our habit for using digital technology for every process. Digital India means every person use digital technology.

Hello, good evening.

Digital India! digitalisation is a good step taken by the government. It takes too much time to completely make digital country because In rural areas every person should not aware of digital. Rural area's person has not known about digital accessories means that they are not an educated, person.

But in urban country digitalisation is growing very fast.

The merit of digitalisation:- digitalisation is better to work in accuracy than manually.

Less efforts are required by the person.

Demerits of digitalisation: Digitalisation in India is reduced the work-life of the person.

Bhupendra said: (Sep 9, 2019)

Hello,

Digital India is good or bad? Every debate start because that point constitute both, pros and cons. The positive point is as follow. Digital India campaign started by the Modi government. We can see the benefits of this in our daily routine activity. In today's generation, both husband and wife are doing work, so they haven't too much time to purchase everything from the market. They would by online. One other benefit is that online payment keeps a record of everything, which is also helpful for the tax department.

One negative point is that because of this, Multinational companies sale their product at a lower price and our domestic businessman faced many problems.

Anil said: (Sep 9, 2019)

Hello,

Good morning all of you.
In my perspective, digital India mission is like a Ramban that is made by Mr. Narendra Modi on 1st July, 2015. It has not only reduced our daily problem, but it illuminates the name of India in the world. It also increased the security of womanhood because now a woman has not to go outside to buy something everything is available online on many app like Amazon, Flipkart and so on.

Chaksu said: (Sep 7, 2019)

Good evening,

Prime Minister Narendra Modi vision of Digital India will bolster usage of technology and awarness. The modern India, digital India campaign is very beneficial to all section of society. I agree digitization plays important role in today's day to day life. Now, we can order meal, book cab, buy groceries, send gifts and money to family and friends even from another country through single click on mobile phones like a magic spell.
Digitization renders easy payments of house bills, phone bills, income taxes, and save time and energy especially in overpopulated countries like India for smooth working of organization. It plays crucial role in reducing corruptions, helps in keeping transparency of income and quick allocation of gov. Funds through adhaar link policy. Burglary is also reduced to a limit, as no need to keep cash at homes for basic needs. In an emergency now medicines which is not available nearby, can be ordered and payments can be made online. Promotes education, even small cities can access all books through online portal and e-transaction renders the fee payment for competitive exams. Digitization touches every sector and make the life simplier through its different branches. But we need to be alert and take safety measures against cyber crimes.

Digital India is a campaign launch by Indian Government on 1st july, 2015. Digital India consists of three main components: the development of secure digital infrastructure, delivering government services digitally, and universal digital literacy. I think it is beneficial to all of us because:

1. If we want a small amount of money, we have to wait in a queue for a long time, but now through the digital system we purchase it quickly.

2. As we know the internet is available to all of us nowadays, it is easy to control our account with safety.

3. Digital Locker facility will help citizens to digitally store their important documents like PAN card, passport, mark sheets and degree certificates. Digital Locker will provide secure access to Government-issued documents. It uses authenticity services provided by Aadhaar. It is aimed at eliminating the use of physical documents and enables the sharing of verified electronic documents across government agencies.

4. Nowadays digital sign is a common thing, so we will not wait for the approval.

5. Not only rich people but also poor rural people get the benefits, as an example: in a tea stall a common problem is changes, but nowadays one can pay the money through an app by scanning the barcode in a tea stall.

Sudesha Patil said: (Sep 6, 2019)

Good afternoon everyone!
Digital India is the one step which is taken by our prime minister Narendra Modiji sir. Which involves a number of schemes and people have got benefits such as ujjwala scheme gave gas cylinder and so on.

As every coin has two sides, digitalization does not give benefits to rural areas people, this is a big problem where Modi government should be more focus.

Kajal Lahoty said: (Sep 5, 2019)

Good morning everyone.
I would like to start this topic by saying that digital India is a great initiative taken by our prime minister Mr. Narendra Singh Modi. This initiative makes many things easier like because of this we can continue our online payment method within less time and obviously less money. It helps in e-learning as well as e-commerce. The many advantages is that there is no chance of corruption because there is no involvement of the third person. So this initiative makes our India digital.

Adhiyagya Lakhotia said: (Sep 5, 2019)

Digital India is a campaign launched by the Government of India in order to ensure the Government's services are made available to citizens electronically by improved online infrastructure and by increasing Internet connectivity or by making the country digitally empowered in the field of technology. The initiative includes plans to connect rural areas with high-speed internet networks. Digital India consists of three core components: the development of secure and stable digital infrastructure, delivering government services digitally, and universal digital literacy.

Launched on 1 July 2015 by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it is both enabler and beneficiary of other key Government of India schemes, such as BharatNet, Make in India, Startup India and Standup India, industrial corridors, Bharatmala, Sagarmala, dedicated freight corridors, UDAN-RCS and E-Kranti.

As of 31 December 2018, India had a population of 130 crore people (1.3 billion) , 123 crore (1.23 billion) Aadhaar digital biometric identity cards, 121 crore (1.21 billion) mobile phones, 44. 6 crore (446 million) smartphones, 56 crore (560 million) internet users up from 481 million people (35% of the country's total population) in December 2017, and 51 per cent growth in e-commerce.

2. It saves our time, a few years back when we have to give someone's money and we don't have cash then it takes a lot time to pay the money but now everyone has their own phone wallet and this transaction can be done in seconds.

3. Almost every class of people are interested in cashless transactions, people who are involving in small businesses like tea seller or even rickshaw business also have their phobe wallet.
4. Now even a small amount of money is easily transferred to the bank's account without going to the bank.

5. We can pay our home's bill like electricity, cable etc without going to the office.

Shivam Singh said: (Aug 26, 2019)

Hello everyone.

Today we are going to discuss about merits and demerits of cashless economy. With rapid innovation in technology sector, advanced methods and processes are being adopted that are make life easier. Cashless economy is such a thing where trade is done digitally unlike on paper. It is fast and more accurate but it comes with its own problems and that is what we are going to talk about.

Cashless economy has led to less paperwork involvement which can also reduce space required to handle and store the documents. Because of that access to reports and documents has also become easy because everything is just one click away. However it is prone to cyber attacks and a system has to be designed properly to make it hack-proof.

It can also be used nefarious purposes like we can take the example of Bitcoin. It is known that through Bitcoin people conduct underworld and sinister businesses online and because of the technology of bitcoin there is no way to track it. This can cause some serious problems in legal businesses of corruption is money is not traceable.

In brief, system of cashless economy should be designed in such a way that it is easily traceable and hack-proof and only it will be a trustworthy system.

Aashish said: (Aug 21, 2019)

Hi everyone,
Everything has prons and cons as such, Cashless economy has also its merit and demerit.

When we talk about the merits of the cashless economy then first thing comes in our mind is it is an easy way to transfer the cash through digitalization.

Secondly, This saves the huge money on print the currency.

Thirdly, you can track every transaction easily. It may help reduce the corruption and malpractice that things affect our economy.

And last but not least it helps grow our economy very swiftly. And it also reduces the threat of fake currency that majorly affects our economy.

When we talk about demerit of cashless economy.

Firstly, we need a proper law and regulations. And it should be implemented on the ground. And I think there is an authority or body like SEBI, RBI who regulate all these things.

Secondly, there is a lack of knowledge may be the big hurdle of the cashless economy and many rumours as well.
And, if we see a cashless economy then the government should remove the limits on e-transaction.

Ankur Vivek said: (Aug 18, 2019)

Hello Everyone.

Any sort of Organisational, National or International work needs proper management to handle a large amount of all types of data, queries, etc. From this one is very important is the cash. A very large amount of transactions is frequent in any economy. Handling hard cash is a cumbersome task. So, this is eliminated only by replacing it with cashless methods, which are e-payments. Merits of the cashless economy are more and efficient as compared to its disadvantages. Let know the biggest merits - Anytime, Anywhere one can exchange his business transactions at the fingertips. There's no need to maintain an extra ledger for transactions history, Now in the cashless economy, this history is auto-generated.

Regardless of the quantity of amount you can transfer or get transferred in your bank account. The only problem it is a procedure. If every citizen is capable of doing so, it is like a time and money saver for all.

The only demerit is the chance of being a part of fraud or robbery. Cybercrime is a major problem in front of a completely cashless economy. If it is completely secure then it's like a god gift.

Yes, Aadhaar card number may be publically available but UIAOI claims that Aadhaar is just like any other id like phone no, therefore, is never to be treated as a confidential document. By simply knowing someone's Aadhaar, no one can impersonate and harm him because Aadhaar alone is not sufficient, it requires biometrics to authenticate one's Identity.

Aman Singh said: (Sep 4, 2019)

Yes, I think it is very secured thing. When we use Aadhar number any purpose as we know our bank accounts gas connection pan card voter I'd all these are connected with that 12 digit number. In Aadhar card, your mobile no is also attached when you access anything through your Aadhar no a notification msg is sent to your mobile no. When you approved that thing then only that service get accessed.

The government are taking gòod care of it that personal information of any individual is secured or not.

Banupriya said: (Aug 31, 2019)

No, Aadhaar database is not secured because with the number of aadhara card we can do lot of things.

Sumit Rautela said: (Aug 27, 2019)

Yes, from my point of view, Aadhar database is secure enough. And it is a great decision taken my our government to make aadhar card compulsary in every field like in government field, bank accounts, job applications form etc. So aadhar card number is essential day by day. Everything is linked with your Aadhar number like bank acc. And if a hacker wants to hack your account through your Aadhar number he or she won't be successful because at the end of the process it requires an OTP (one time password) which is the most important part of that. The OTP is sent on your mobile number which is linked through your Aadhar card. So hacker can't have the access to your otp without your knowledge. And it will only be possible if you are a dumbass or idiot. So be aware and keep calm everything will be okay it's secure enough.

Harika said: (Aug 25, 2019)

Hello.

Adharcard was made mandatory from 2014 and It is a good scheme where every individual of India are having their identity through this and is connected to every field thus there is a great need for securing adhar db and fortunately with the help of otp we can secure our data.
Through this we can enjoy the benefits through government schemes.

The topic given to us is very important as we know that Aadhar card is becoming essential day by day. Most of the things are getting connected by Aadhar card but I think Aadhar card is safe enough. If anyone wants to hack our bank account then he requires OTP so till now there is no such device that can hack your OTP. If you lose your money then you will be responsible for it so be conscious. Hackers can only hack general information that will not be harmful to you.

Good morning everyone,

I would like to make a point. What I think is Aadhar was a good initiative taken by the Modi government in 2014.

It was a good move for a step towards digital India. By Aadhar, the government has a database of everyone so that a proper channel would be maintained. As this thing is solely operated by our government of India hence it is completely secured.

Hello friends.

In point of view, Aadhar card database is secure. And hacker can't hack Adharcard database. Because if anyone wants to hack then O.T.P are required to access information. And mobile number is available with adharcard's people so no one can hack. Adharcard is mendatory on airport, any form. But in future may be hack asharcard databse. No technology is invented that can be fined your O.T.P. Thank you.

Arpit Patel said: (Aug 11, 2019)

Aadhaar database can be hacked easily if a smart hacker wants, but will he get any benefit from this or not? Suppose he get the details from your Aadhaar then what will he do ?, he can only contact you just to get some extra confidential detail which you won't share. The procedure of OTP (one-time-password), secures many networks which creates a barrier for hackers to hack anyone account because at last, they want OTP. Yes, Aadhaar card no may be publically available but UIAOI claims that Aadhaar is just like any other id like phone no, therefore, is never to be treated as a confidential document. By simply knowing someone's Aadhaar, no one can impersonate and harm him because Aadhaar alone is not sufficient, it requires biometrics to authenticate one's identity. Aadhar launched by the government of India has reached almost every part of India and almost every Indian are registered under it. The government has made Aadahar compulsory for many things like a bank account, Pan card and many more. Almost every scheme and programme launched by the government requires Aadhar for it. But don't you all think that the Indian government is making Aadhaar card necessary or mandatory in each and every governing field. And if we are having our PAN card for the transaction of money then what is the need of Aadhaar card for the same, one disadvantage of Aadhaar card is that it is making things complicated.

Viplaw said: (Aug 4, 2019)

Hello friends.

In my opinion, Aadhaar card is safe and secured enough, today is the identity of everyone we need it as a primary Identification card.

Previously Voter ID card was used as primary identification but it cannot be made available to a person having age less than 18-year so Aadhar card introduced and it is, of course, safe and secure.

There are some data like address and contact detail can be gained by Aadhaar number but these are not secret data and are shareable.

Mohit Kumawat said: (Aug 4, 2019)

Hii everyone.

Myself Mohit Kumawat.

The topic is Aadhaar database is secure enough.
Aadhar is the main identity of an Indian. It is necessary for many works like as bank works, sim verification, govt schemes etc.

Point is that Aadhar database is secure or not.

It is not 100% secure because we know many hackers can take a high tech. System on behalf of its basic information so nothing is 100% secure but our govt is trying to make it more secure for example link Aadhar with biometric.

But we should careful against fake calls through which they want to know our personal details to break our security system.

Thanks.

Adhaar database is secured enough because if hacker wants to hack his/her details he can hack easily but he can't get much information except contact details or address. If hacker wants more details he will use contact details but it is not useful for them because OTP will be send to that number and that sim or number is not with him so he can't get more details about anyone except their address or contact details.

Nowadays Aadhaar card is mandatory for everything. It is the identity of a person. Now your identity card is checked everywhere it may be airport or station. It is also used in banks for opening any type of account. Now everyone is using adhaar card as their identity card. In my opinion, Aadhaar database is secured enough.

Thank you.

Aadhaar card data is not secure enough. Aadhaar card data can be secure surely if we concentrate it with the #block_chain technology.

Hello everyone,

Is GST really One nation, One tax system?

I would probably say no because in spite of having GST (goods and service tax) people put service tax as extra which is already included in GST.

Many businesses run like this and people will not be aware of it.

People need to be very careful and see what they are paying for.

At times society needs to raise voice against such acts.

Many of them just ignore such things even though if they are aware of them.

We are in a DEMOCRATIC country and we have all the rights to question and most importantly at the end of the day it is all upon us and we have to go by the rules.

GST is one Nation one Tax?

Definitely no everyone aware that we have difference GST slots but it is not applicable to liquor and petroleum it clearly shows we are not under one Nation one tax system. I am not going to give any statics but I'm going to tell how it affected my life before GST I was watching movies at balcony now ticket rate is become increased so I can't afford that price then I start watching the movie from first-class second class ticket and I plan to buy a car before GST the price was 600000 rupee after GST it becomes 700000 these are the simple example which we could relate with our self everyone can understand but there are so many things we are getting affected without our knowledge after the GST India have faced economic crisis because so many scale industries are destroyed if this government not reduce the percentage of GST slots India will face much crisis in future.

Hello, everyone.

First of all, I would like to thank you for giving me a great opportunity to speak in front of you.

GST implemented by the government of India with Tagline of one Nation one tax.

Some of the merits of this system are:

One Nation one tax -Before the implementation of GST, a number of taxes were implemented by the states on a single good like excise duty, VAT, entertainment tax etc. Since the states are imposing the tax accordingly, the prices of similar good in different regions of the country becomes different. GST has successfully eradicated all these taxes.

Clear idea about taxation system- Before GST people were unaware of the percentage of taxes to be paid on a good but after implementation of GST 5 slots were made, 0% 5% 12% 18% and 28% and the goods are distributed in the class accordingly now peoples know how much they are paying on it.

Development of country -since the amount to be paid on a single item is the same all over the country it will automatically lead to the growth of GDP.

Tax collection increased - before the implementation of GST there are a lot of shopkeepers who are not registered and practising. But after GST it became mandatory for all to get their name registered. So the number of taxpayers increased and automatically tax collection increased.

Some of the demerits of this system are.

Petroleum And alcoholic products after not kept in any slot of GST. Since their daily usable products, they should be assigned their slot, but it is not.

Since no special training with given by the government to the shopkeeper about the registration with GST, shopkeeper suffered a lot.

Since the prices of some of the goods increased within no time, customers suffered a lot.

Gst is goods and service tax implemented by the government of India in 2017 by eliminating all type of taxes such as service tax, excise duty etc and merge them into a single tax. However it is said to be one nation one tax but this line doesn't suit the system, as get is not implemented over petroleum and alcoholic product so indirectly a large no of taxes enjoyed by the government.

All we can say that it has merit as well as a demerit. Merit like we get the stuff in the same price all over India and demerit as I have mentioned above.

GST replaces taxes like service tax, entertainment tax, VAT, and some other taxes with a single tax.

It helps to collect taxes even from the small firm or industry owner which somehow increases government collection.

Also, across the different region of the country tax amount paid on a particular product is the same. So, our economy is going to get much improved and our GDP will rise in future.

One of the disadvantages which I come to know that it does not impose on alcohol, diesel and petroleum-like products which are the major sources of taxes.

Firstly, thanks for giving me the opportunity for expressing my views about GST.

Gst (good and service tax). I do believe this is the good and a beneficiary move made by our government. One nation, one tax system, it is implemented to eradicate over taxes paid by the public. It also helps in the development of the country and poor people.
